SMS Team Members Attend 2013 DISH Summit

SMS team members Margaret (PCO Account Manager) and Ron (VP of Technical Operations) attended the Dish Team Summit in San Antonio, TX last week. This event is described as the “largest, most exciting event in the satellite industry” where participants can “learn from top DISH Network executives; attend professionally developed training sessions brought to you by DISH U®; and network with DISH Network trainers, sales staff, support staff, EchoStar engineers, Sling Media® staff, and Retailers from across the country.”

Margaret and Ron attended seminars such as “Unleashing the Power of DISH Portal,” viewed install galleries, and listened to keynote speakers including the President and CEO of DISH, Joseph Clayton. But there was still a lot of fun to be had among all the business – the Summit hosted a special appearance from Oprah Winfrey, as well as performances from pop rock band Train and comedian Bill Engvall (pictures below)!

“The entire Team Summit experience was awesome! It was great to finally meet some of our Operators face-to-face and assist them with questions about the PCO program. We also found the training classes to be very beneficial. DISH Network does a great job with putting this together,” said Margaret.
